Scenes from the RPV Advance

Here are a few of the photos I snapped at the 24th Annual Donald Huffman Advance in Crystal City. (I have already reported on the results of the GOP Straw Poll held at the climax of the Advance.)

Members of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Virginia gathered for an organizational meeting that was adjunct to the Advance

The newly elected officers of the RLC-Virginia: myself (Secretary), Bert Mueller (Vice Chair), D. J. McGuire (Chairman), and Cliff Dunn (Treasurer).

UVA Students for Ron Paul: Bree Nicole, Kyle Stamper, and Nicole Gugliucci

Former President George Washington with Scott Walker of Purcellville

GOP activists D. J. McGuire, Jim Parmelee, and Laura Holmes Jost

Youthful Ron Paul supporters hold a banner designed by Curt Dvonch of James Madison University

A vintage Barry Goldwater lapel button

Buttons, bumper stickers, literature, and memorabilia on the Ron Paul campaign table

Former Governor Jim Gilmore (now a candidate for the U.S. Senate) chats with reporters

David Brown of Charlottesville with Governor Gilmore

Congratulations on reviving the Virginia chapter of the RLC and on being elected Secretary. Wasn't it Trotsky who said something like, "It's not who chairs the meeting, it's who takes the minutes"? :-)

Congratulations! It was great meeting you on Friday night. Sorry we did run into each other again. I'll be leaving Charlottesville in a few weeks, but I'll always have this blog to keep me connected. (Better this than the Cav Daily.)

As always, top notch reporting. Great vids, too!
